What ages do you serve?

Linden Learning House is designed for children ages 2.5–5 who are preparing for kindergarten.

What are your program hours?

We offer a half-day program, Monday through Friday, following a traditional school-year calendar. Specific hours are 8:00am to 12:00pm.

We also offer a full day program, Monday through Friday, following a traditional school-year calendar. Specific hours for the full day program are 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Additionally, we offer a two, three, or four day a week program. Students in this program will attend full day 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Do you follow a school calendar?

Yes, our program aligns with the MSD Washington Township school-year schedule, including holidays and breaks.

What does a typical day look like?

Each day includes a balance of structured learning and play. Children participate in circle time, early literacy instruction, hands-on math activities, social-emotional learning, free play, and outdoor time.

What curriculum do you use?

Linden Learning House combines a Montessori-inspired approach with research-based instruction in early literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. We utilize evidence-based resources, including UFLI Foundations, FLAME Math, and Second Step, while prioritizing hands-on learning, purposeful play, and child-led exploration.

Is Linden Learning House screen free?

Yes! Students will not have access to any screens.

Is this more like preschool or kindergarten?

Linden Learning House is a kindergarten preparation program that blends elements of both preschool and early elementary. It provides structured learning in a play-based, developmentally appropriate environment.

How many children are in the program?

We keep our group small to ensure each child receives individualized attention and support. Our enrollment cap is 8 students.

Is your program play-based?

Yes. While we include academic instruction, we strongly value play as an essential part of early childhood development. Children have daily opportunities for free play and outdoor exploration.

Do children need to be potty trained?

Yes, children should be fully potty trained before starting the program, but kids are kids and accidents happen, we will keep a spare set of clothes should the need arise.

Do you provide meals or snacks?

Daily snack is provided for all students, including a fruit and grain. Students should eat breakfast prior to arrival to school.

What is your approach to behavior and discipline?

We focus on teaching social-emotional skills such as problem-solving, empathy, and self-regulation. We use a positive, supportive approach to guide behavior and help children learn appropriate ways to express themselves.

How do you communicate with parents?

We maintain regular communication through Brightwheel. We believe in keeping families informed and connected to their child’s experience.

How do I enroll my child?

Is there a waitlist?

If the program is full, we do maintain a waitlist. Please contact us to be added and notified of openings.

Will vaccine records be required?

The state of Indiana requires vaccine records for all enrolled children. Should you not feel comfortable providing those, there is an alternate form that can be completed to fufill the requirement.

Is Linden Learning House peanut/tree nut free?

If any students have peanut/tree nut allergies, yes we will be a peanut/tree nut free facility. If there are no students with such allergies, peanuts and tree nuts will be permitted.
