At Linden Learning House, our curriculum blends research-based instruction with a child-centered, Montessori-inspired approach. Children are introduced to early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills through hands-on experiences, purposeful play, and meaningful exploration. We utilize evidence-based practices, including Science of Reading-aligned phonics instruction through UFLI Foundations, number sense development, and interactive read-alouds that build language and comprehension. Rather than worksheets or rigid academics, learning is woven into engaging activities that encourage curiosity, independence, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.
Katherine Jimenez, the teacher and founder of Linden Learning House created this program to offer a small, nurturing environment where young children can grow, learn, and build confidence before kindergarten.
For years Katherine taught in elementary schools and later became a literacy specialist, working with teachers and students grades K-8. She is passionate about early literacy and helping children develop a strong foundation in reading, math, and social-emotional skills.
At Linden Learning House, we strive to create a calm, structured, and engaging space where each child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. LLH believes children learn best through a balance of intentional instruction, play, and meaningful relationships.
